What I love about photography is that it gives me a reason to look for the beauty in all things. The details of a flower in a macro shot or the vastness of a landscape in Yosemite Valley. Photography forces me to alway be on the look out for beauty. The next shot may even come on my commute to work.I enjoy taking pictures of all things. From macro, people, still life to wide angle landscapes. I consider myself to be very lucky to live in Northern California. I have Yosemite, Big Sur, San Francisco, Mendencino, etc. to take pictures of and to top it off I live in the middle of the wine country! Yes, Sonoma is beautiful - 365 days a year.
I lost my shooting partner of several years, Nikki, my Wire Hair Fox Terrier. She went on to a better place to take pictures with Ansel, Edward and Imogene. I have a new photo partner that I am breaking in, Archie, a Welsh Terrier. So if you ever see a photographer out trudging through the beauty of Sonoma county and he has a Welsh Terrier tagging along, stop and say, "Hi".
